Why Ducks Love Beavers: Exploring Our State Animal – Central Point

OSU Extension Campus 569 Hanley Rd, Central Point, OR, United States

Beavers have made an incredible population recovery after almost being extirpated by fur trapping from our region. This comeback has provided us with an opportunity to create a reciprocal relationship with this special animal. Beavers can be helpful in managing land and assisting us with ecological stream restoration.

There will be a one-hour lecture and discussion, followed by a walk to the beaver habitat at Hanley Farm. Please bring appropriate footwear for walking on uneven, muddy terrain.
